Job Description: Test Lead / QA Automation Lead
Test Leadership & Strategy
- Proven experience leading manual and automation testing teams across multiple projects
- Expertise in test planning, estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Strong knowledge of test strategy development, risk-based testing, and release sign-off processes
- Hands-on involvement in test design reviews, defect triage, and stakeholder communication
- Experience mentoring and guiding team members on testing best practices and automation standards
Testing Methodologies
- Extensive experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and continuous testing practices
Automation Testing Expertise
- Hands-on experience designing, enhancing, and maintaining test automation frameworks
- Web Automation Tools: WebdriverIO, Katalon Studio
- API Testing & Automation: Postman
- BDD Frameworks: Gherkin-based test development
Manual Testing Expertise
- Expertise in functional, regression, system, integration, and UAT testing
- Strong skills in writing test scenarios, detailed test cases, and execution reports
- Excellent defect analysis, documentation, and root cause identification
- Ability to independently resolve complex testing scenarios and query-based issues
Programming & Scripting Skills
- Proficient in Java, JavaScript, Groovy, SQL, and Gherkin
- Ability to review, optimize, and standardize automation code across teams
- Experience building reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation components
Database & Backend Testing
- Strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries for data validation and backend testing
- Hands-on experience with MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server
- Skilled in data integrity validation, joins, stored procedures, and reporting checks
CI/CD & Build Integration
- Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
- Familiarity with Node.js for test execution and build automation
Version Control & Collaboration Tools
- Proficient in Git, Git Bash, and GitHub for source control and test artifact management
Test & Defect Management Tools
- Extensive experience using qTest and HP ALM for:
- Test case management
- Test execution tracking
- Defect lifecycle management
Security & Environment Management
- Experience using HashiCorp Vault for credential and secret management in testing environments
Professional & Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to balance hands-on technical contribution with leadership responsibilities
