Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive test cases, contributing to test planning, and executing all levels of testing. This role requires a professional who can apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle and collaborate effectively with development teams to ensure software quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements.
- Contribute to test planning and build test cases for stories within a given sprint.
- Automate test cases for User-Interface (UI) and databases using tools like Selenium or Tosca.
- Build and use test data required for the execution of test cases.
- Execute manual and automated tests, record results, and track software defects.
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing on new and existing features.
- Collaborate with the development team for defect triaging and resolution.
- Ensure all standards and processes are implemented within projects.
Required Qualifications
Education: A technical Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Math.
Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in Software Testing. Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using SQL, Database, and ETL technologies, with hands-on agile experience. Prior experience working with globally distributed teams is necessary.
Technical Skills:- Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium or Tosca for UI and database.
- Expertise in testing User-Interface (UI) and database changes.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries using joins.
- Experience with Unix, including the ability to write and execute commands.
- Working knowledge of test management software like qTest or Octane.
- Familiarity with project lifecycles (SIT, UAT) and Autosys job scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the banking domain.
- Knowledge of Oracle and Teradata databases.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work self-directed to complete activities.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $55.00 and $60.42 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
