We?re looking for an Environmental Engineer to help us stay ahead of regulations, protect our operations, and continuously improve how we manage air, water, and waste. You?ll get to partner across teams, lead meaningful projects, and make a real impact on how we operate every day.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in wastewater and stormwater permitting, regulatory reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance condition management for converting operations. Maintain water compliance records, monitor permit requirements, review capex projects for water permitting implications, and develop regulatory knowledge related to discharge, stormwater, and wastewater applicability and compliance obligations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain environmental compliance records, plans, and reports. Ensure applicable environmental regulatory permits are maintained.
  • Resource assigned divisions with comprehensive environment compliance (air, water, waste) assist: program implementation, records, permitting, troubleshooting, management of change and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct training and develop training materials to communicate requirements and general awareness.
  • Complete records and reporting for compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations for environmental programs.
  • Coordinate and participate in internal auditing of environmental and divisional programs.
  • Drive continuous improvement with strategic objectives for best fit.
  • Manage environmental technical projects, with program accountability and understanding for all levels of stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations, with water regulations (CWA, NPDES, local SUO, CWA Section 404) preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with people at all levels
  • Comfort working with data and attention to detail when organizing and reporting information
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to build strong working relationships
  • Problem-solving skills and a natural curiosity to ask questions and understand root causes
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Initiative and follow-through in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
