Position Summary

The Software Test Analyst will be responsible for testing Salesforce applications supporting the Michigan Enterprise Contact Center team. The successful candidate will work in an Agile environment and utilize Azure DevOps Test Plans/Test Suites to design, maintain, execute, and document test cases. This role will collaborate closely with customers, vendors, developers, and test engineers to ensure Salesforce solutions meet functional, performance, scalability, security, and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in an Agile environment and understand Agile methodologies.
• Participate in vendor requirement sessions with customers and understand business requirements.
• Create and maintain Test Plans, Test Suites, Test Cases, and Test Scripts in Azure DevOps.
• Work with customers, vendors, and development teams to define test scripts based on requirements for new projects and enhancements.
• Interpret requirements and user stories and translate them into comprehensive test cases using Azure DevOps.
• Participate in project design and planning activities to ensure a complete understanding of client requirements.
• Understand the capabilities and limitations of the technical environments supporting enterprise applications.
• Develop positive and negative test cases based on Salesforce application requirements.
• Identify automation frameworks and recommend improvements.
• Test Salesforce Service Cloud, including REST API, SOAP API, and Bulk API integrations using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar applications.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure testing results meet performance and scalability requirements.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and test plans.
• Work with test engineers to implement new automation scripts and troubleshoot existing scripts within a Continuous Integration environment.
• Document and evaluate test results and defects and track defects through resolution in Azure DevOps.
• Maintain full traceability between client requirements, test scripts, test results, and defects.
• Maintain and enhance existing test scripts.
• Ensure proposed solutions adhere to State of Michigan security guidelines and standards throughout the application lifecycle.
• Develop a training plan to support a smooth transition to Maintenance & Operations.
• Transfer knowledge effectively and adapt to changing project needs and priorities.
• Communicate technical concepts and testing results effectively to technical and business stakeholders.
• Facilitate discussions and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
• Work independently under dynamic conditions while meeting project deadlines.

Salesforce Testing Requirements

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.
• Experience participating in phases of full Salesforce lifecycle implementations.
• In-depth understanding of Salesforce capabilities and constraints.
• Understanding of Salesforce Production and Sandbox environments.
• Ability to analyze the impact of new solutions and enhancements and perform appropriate regression testing.
• Knowledge of Salesforce objects, Flows, AppExchange packages, Lightning, and Apex.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce QA and testing best practices.

Azure DevOps QA Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans and Test Suites.
• Ability to create, execute, maintain, and enhance test cases and test scripts.
• Experience documenting test results and managing defects through resolution.
• Ability to maintain complete traceability between requirements, test scripts, test execution, and defects.

Qualifications

Required

• 6+ years of Salesforce QA/Testing experience
• 4+ years of Salesforce Service Cloud experience
• 4+ years of Azure DevOps Test Suite/Test Plans experience
• Strong experience creating and utilizing test scripts and test cases.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and testing best practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong facilitation and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• 4+ years of NICE CXone or other CCaaS testing experience
• 1+ year of SQL experience
• 1+ year of Selenium, test automation, or similar automation tools
• Experience with REST API, SOAP API, Bulk API, Postman, or SoapUI
• Experience working with State of Michigan or other government/public health processes and guidelines.
• Experience with Continuous Integration environments.
• Knowledge of Salesforce Flows, Lightning, Apex, AppExchange packages, and Salesforce objects.
