Position Summary

Atkore is seeking a results-driven Project Manager with a strong background in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering to lead manufacturing-focused projects within our Hobart, Indiana facility. This role is responsible for managing capital projects, process improvements, equipment installations, and operational efficiency initiatives from concept through execution.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (non-IT), with a strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of manufacturing and capital improvement projects.

• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk for plant-based initiatives.

• Oversee installation and commissioning of new equipment and production lines.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, maintenance, production, quality, and supply chain.

• Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).

• Develop project timelines, cost estimates, and resource plans.

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in:

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Industrial Engineering

  • Electrical Engineering
    (or related engineering discipline)

• 10+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

• Experience managing capital equipment projects.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and plant operations.

• Proven experience working with cross-functional teams in a production environment.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Proficiency in MS Project or similar project management tools.
