Role Summary:
· The Data / ETL Engineer (mid-level) contributes to the design and build of a modern data platform on Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW).
· The engineer develops performant SQL-driven ELT pipelines, creates new curated datasets (including materialized views and star schemas), and assists with replication flows leveraging GoldenGate.
· This role focuses on high-quality build execution, strong data modeling capability, and iterative delivery within a collaborative project team.
· The engineer works under the guidance of senior developers and the Data Architect to deliver scalable, maintainable, production-ready data assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Pipeline & Dataset Development
· Develop, enhance, and optimize SQL/PLSQL-based ELT pipelines for loading and transforming data into ADW.
· Build new curated datasets, including:
o Materialized views for analytical consumption
o Star schemas (fact and dimension tables)
o Summary, snapshot, and conformed data structures
· Conduct performance tuning across queries, transformations, and materialized views.
· Implement data quality checks, automated validations, and reconciliation logic as part of each pipeline.
GoldenGate & Data Integration Support
· Assist in configuring and updating GoldenGate replication flows for new data sources and schema changes.
· Validate replicated data and troubleshoot replication delays, failures, or out-of-sync conditions.
Modeling, Quality & Documentation
· Work with the Data Architect to translate business requirements into logical and physical data models.
· Support data modeling activities such as partitioning strategies, indexing, and schema design.
· Produce documentation, data dictionaries, technical flows, and runbooks to support long-term maintainability.
Collaboration & Delivery

· Advanced SQL proficiency including complex joins, window functions, query optimization, and performance tuning.
· Hands-on experience with Oracle ADW, Oracle Database, or similar cloud data warehouse technologies.
· Experience designing and building star schemas, materialized views, and analytical data models.
· Familiarity with data replication concepts (GoldenGate preferred).
· Strong understanding of relational and dimensional modeling.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with automated data quality frameworks or test-driven data development.
· Exposure to Oracle Data Integration tools (ODI, ODI-C) or other ETL/ELT platforms (Informatica, Talend, DataStage).
· Experience building cloud-based data platforms or pipelines (OCI preferred).
· Background in agile delivery, DevOps for data, or ELT orchestration frameworks.
· Ability to profile data, assess data quality, and recommend structural improvements.
