Description

The Associate Technical Trainer supports a corporate university environment delivering high-volume, instructor-led technical training focused on telecom and data center infrastructure. This role is 75%+ hands-on instruction, working with adult learners in classroom and lab environments. This role supports a structured, high-volume training program preparing entry-level technicians to become data center fiber installers. Trainers will deliver pre-built curriculum in a classroom and lab environment. Both Associate and Senior Trainers are responsible for delivering training, managing the classroom, supervising learners, preparing training environments, and completing administrative tasks (grading, reporting, assessments). Trainers will also provide feedback to program leadership and serve as subject matter experts as needed. Core focus areas include safety, instruction, coaching, and facilitating learning in both classroom and lab environments. Candidates with backgrounds in telecom, electrical, construction, or similar technical trades are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include: Associate Trainers may come from adjacent industries (telecom, electrical, construction, etc.) and will be trained on data center-specific curriculum prior to delivery Trainers will be trained on curriculum prior to leading sessions Lead classroom sessions of 24-30 students at a time Deliver training 5 days per week in a structured schedule Simplify complex technical concepts for entry-level learners with little to no prior experience Partner with another trainer (Senior/Associate model) to co-deliver sessions Delivering instructor-led training (lecture, labs, assessments) Supporting onboarding and upskilling of technical workforce Providing remediation and coaching to ensure learning outcomes Collaborating with SMEs and leadership to improve training programs Tracking training data, performance metrics, and reporting outcomes Supporting development and refinement of training materials Maintaining training labs and equipment Staying current on data center and telecom technologies

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
