Associate Technical Trainer - Data Center / Low VoltageLocation:Onsite (Classroom & Lab Environment)
OverviewWe are seeking an
Associate Technical Trainer to support a high-volume training program focused on
telecom and data center infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone with a
hands-on technical background (telecom, electrical, construction, or similar trades) who is looking to transition into a
training and coaching role.
You will lead instructor-led training sessions, helping entry-level learners develop the skills needed to become
data center fiber technicians. This role is
75%+ hands-on instruction in both classroom and lab environments.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver instructor-led training (lectures, hands-on labs, and assessments)
- Lead classroom sessions of 24-30 students
- Break down complex technical concepts for entry-level learners
- Coach and mentor students to ensure learning success
- Partner with other trainers to co-deliver structured training programs
- Support onboarding and upskilling of technical workforce
- Track performance, complete grading, and maintain training reports
- Provide feedback to leadership on curriculum and learner performance
- Maintain lab equipment and training environments
- Stay current with telecom and data center technologies
Required Qualifications- 3-6 years of technical experience in telecom, electrical, construction, or similar hands-on fields
- Experience explaining or teaching technical concepts (mentoring, onboarding, field leadership, etc.)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups daily
- Ability to deliver structured, instructor-led training
- Exposure to structured cabling (fiber and/or copper)
- Strong focus on safety, coaching, and hands-on learning
- Ability to manage a classroom and supervise learners
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Nice to Have- BICSI certification (or willingness to obtain within 12 months)
- Experience with instructional design or training development
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Exposure to data center operations
Schedule- 5 days per week (onsite)
- Structured training schedule
- Occasional flexibility may be required
Work Environment- 100% onsite in a classroom and lab setting
- Hands-on, high-volume training environment
- Trainers operate in a paired model (co-teaching)
Pay & Contract Details- Pay rate: $22-$27/hr
- Contract role with potential for extension
- Travel may be required

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
