Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Pittsburgh, PA that is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software products used in client's environment. This individual will partner closely with software developers, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies, identify risks early in the development lifecycle, and help deliver high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on quality professional with experience in both manual and automated testing, strong analytical skills, and a passion for continuous improvement within Agile development environments.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience will be considered
* 7+ years of software quality assurance, software testing, or validation experience
* Hands-on experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and defect reports
* Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams
* Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar
* Experience testing APIs and web services using tools such as Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, or related platforms
* Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and quality processes
* Familiarity with Linux environments and file systems
* Working knowledge of test automation concepts and frameworks
* Proficiency with SQL and database validation techniques

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
