Senior Automation Tester (SDET)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Automation Tester (SDET) in Jersey City, NJ.

Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated testing solutions throughout the software development lifecycle
* Create automated test scripts for functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing scenarios
* Collaborate with development and business teams to understand requirements and ensure software quality objectives are met
* Support continuous testing initiatives by integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and delivery processes
* Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and technical documentation
* Identify testing dependencies, environmental requirements, and potential quality risks
* Participate in application development activities, including unit testing and code reviews
* Troubleshoot defects, support root-cause analysis, and recommend quality improvements
* Follow established development, testing, risk management, and governance standards
* Contribute to process improvements, testing best practices, and overall delivery excellence

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
* 6+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test automation
* Hands-on experience with automated unit, integration, and API testing
* Strong experience with Java-based test automation and modern testing frameworks
* Experience with web application, front-end, and back-end testing methodologies
* Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments
* Proficiency in SQL and database validation techniques
* Knowledge of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and quality assurance best practices
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and cross-functional partners
* Experience within financial services or other regulated industries is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
