Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in requirements analysis, systems design, and systems architecture, with a proven track record of leveraging MBSE tools and methodologies to deliver high-quality, scalable systems. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create robust system models, align system requirements with customer needs, and define end-to-end system architectures.

This position provides an opportunity to shape the development of innovative systems and technologies while ensuring system integrity, traceability, and efficiency throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Program Overview: The Resilient Missile Warning and Missile Tracking (RMWT) Ground Management and Integration (GMI) program will support the management and integration of ground system capabilities for missile tracking satellites. This includes the development of a primary MEO Satellite Operations Center (MSOC) and Ground Entry Points (GEPs) to facilitate the operations of missile tracking satellites.

Key Responsibilities:

Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE):
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze system models using industry-standard MBSE tools like Cameo.
  • Drive system development through models, ensuring consistency and traceability of system artifacts.
  • Apply SysML (Systems Modeling Language) to visualize, analyze, and document system behaviors, requirements, architectures, and verification.

Requirements Analysis:
  • Capture, analyze, and validate stakeholder requirements to ensure feasibility, consistency, and traceability.
  • Perform gap analysis and maintain requirements traceability across all development phases.
  • Support the development of requirements documents, including System Requirements Documents (SRDs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and Verification Matrices.

Systems Design and Architecture:
  • Design, develop, and document system architectures, ensuring alignment with customer needs and technical constraints.
  • Perform trade studies and analyze design choices to identify optimal solutions that balance performance, cost, and risk.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and network engineering teams to establish scalable, end-to-end systems.

Collaboration and Communication:
  • Engage with customers, stakeholders, and development teams to define system expectations, constraints, and objectives.
  • Present system designs, requirement analyses, and trade studies to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support formal design reviews, including SRRs, PDRs, and CDRs.

Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (Advanced degrees preferred).
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in years of hands-on experience in MBSE, systems design, or systems architecture.
  • Strong experience with SysML for modeling system behavior, structure, and interconnections.
  • Solid understanding of requirements management tools like DOORS, Jama, or similar platforms.
  • Proven track record in requirements decomposition, traceability, gap analysis, and validation processes.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering standards such as INCOSE SE Handbook, ISO 15288, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Agile frameworks and modern toolchains (Git, Jira, Confluence).
  • Knowledge of digital engineering principles, version control for models, and model governance.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps principles.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
