Senior Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT.

Summary:
The Senior Software Engineer is a strong individual contributor who delivers meaningful software while helping the team make better technical decisions. This role is for someone who is comfortable working through ambiguity, collaborating closely with others, and taking responsibility for outcomes-not just assigned tasks. This candidate must be located in Salt Lake City, and it is a hybrid work model.

Duties:
* Senior Software Engineer will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate desired outcomes into working software
* Design and deliver production-ready solutions that balance quality, performance, speed, and maintainability
* Contribute thoughtfully to architectural and design discussions, articulating trade-offs and recommendations
* Take ownership of features and technical initiatives from concept through delivery
* Write clear, well-tested code and actively participate in code and design reviews
* As a Senior Software Engineer, you will support and mentor other engineers through collaboration, pairing, and constructive feedback
* Identify opportunities to improve system quality, reliability, and developer effectiveness
* Adapt and collaborate effectively as requirements, constraints, or priorities evolve

REQUIREMENTS:
* Language & Platform: Strong experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem in production environments
* Architecture: Experience building and contributing to event-driven systems and applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) concepts
* Data: Hands-on experience with relational and document-oriented databases, with an understanding of when to use each
* Cloud: Experience delivering software in Microsoft Azure, including deployments and basic operational considerations
* Quality: Regular use of Test-Driven Development (TDD); Exposure to or interest in Behavior-Driven Design (BDD)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
