Summary


Job Role
We are looking for a skilled Tableau Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize the Tableau environment. The candidate will be responsible for server administration, user management, security implementation, performance tuning, and supporting business reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Tableau Server/Tableau Cloud environment.
  • Manage user access, roles, permissions, and security policies.
  • Monitor server performance, usage, and system health.
  • Perform upgrades, patches, migrations, and backup/recovery activities.
  • Troubleshoot Tableau dashboards, extracts, subscriptions, and server-related issues.
  • Configure authentication methods such as SSO, Active Directory, and SAML.
  • Optimize Tableau workbooks and server performance.
  • Collaborate with business and BI teams for dashboard deployments.
  • Maintain governance standards and documentation.
  • Support scheduling, data refreshes, and automation processes.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with Tableau Server Administration.
  • Knowledge of Tableau Desktop and Tableau Cloud.
  • Experience with Windows/Linux server environments.
  • Understanding of SQL, databases, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with user management and security configurations.
  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Shell scripting) is preferred.
  • Good troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tableau Certification preferred.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS/Azure.
  • Knowledge of Jira, ServiceNow, or ticketing tools.
