Our client is hiring an Onsite IT Support Technician for a short-term contract role based onsite in Michigan City, IN. Our client is a global manufacturer of precision measurement and control instrumentation, supporting industries like manufacturing and data centers. This role operates in a Windows / Microsoft 365 / Intune environment, supporting a manufacturing facility.

This is a true "boots on the ground" role with an offshore help desk and infrastructure team already in place, meaning this position sits squarely in the L2 space, bridging the gap and handling anything that requires hands on support. What matters most here isn't just doing the work but how you think through it: real time troubleshooting with users, understanding basic networking concepts like DHCP, knowing when and how to escalate, and asking the right questions to get to root cause quickly.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong Windows desktop support experience
  • Microsoft 365 environment experience
  • Hands-on with Intune, including device enrollment, provisioning, and deployment
  • Experience with laptop/desktop setup and imaging
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues
  • Strong end user support and communication skills
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Understanding of DHCP and basic networking concepts
  • Clear grasp of L1 vs. L2 vs. infrastructure responsibilities
  • Ability to triage issues and determine the appropriate escalation path
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly while assisting users
What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown
  • Windows / Microsoft 365 / Intune environment
  • Manual and Intune-based device provisioning/deployment
  • Basic networking troubleshooting (DHCP, connectivity issues)
Daily Responsibilities
  • ~70% Hands-On End User Support & Troubleshooting
  • ~20% Device Provisioning & Deployment (manual and Intune)
  • ~10% Triage & Coordination with Offshore Help Desk and Infrastructure Team
