Job Overview:
The Mobile Product Owner will play a pivotal role in driving the vision for a fast-growing customer channel. This position leverages the latest technologies to enhance customer experiences, solve pain points, and drive revenue. The successful candidate will work to differentiate mobile products as industry leaders, bridging the gap between business products and IT to deliver a seamless and innovative digital customer experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal partners from IT, UX, and Analytics to understand customer behavior and create exceptional customer experiences.
  • Promote mobile tools and features to support other products while ensuring alignment with the overall mobile vision.
  • Keep stakeholders informed by communicating outcomes, learnings, and changes as teams work toward objectives.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking to research new technologies, identify gaps, and discover opportunities to enhance the customer experience.
  • Manage the development and implementation of new mobile features and tools, participating in Agile ceremonies such as grooming, iteration planning, and stand-ups.
  • Translate business objectives into technical specifications by creating a backlog of well-defined user stories.
  • Oversee the mobile platform backlog to ensure teams focus on high-impact efforts to achieve objectives and key results.
  • Work with third-party software vendors to build mobile tools and offerings.
  • Operate within the DevOps model, troubleshooting technical issues and prioritizing defect fixes and small enhancements.
  • Partner with IT architects and technical leads to develop solutions that deliver customer value quickly while reducing operational costs.
  • Lead demonstrations of new software to update stakeholders and team members on new features and functionality.
  • Collaborate with other business units to write and accept user stories, ensuring technical and business requirements are met.
  • Focus on outcomes by identifying key metrics and continuously measuring and iterating to improve the product.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience/training.
  • Understanding of mobile app technology frameworks and differences between Android and iOS platforms.
  • Knowledge of how systems interact with each other (e.g., Sabre, ITA, eTDS).
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in e-commerce.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience selecting and implementing third-party software development kits to enhance app offerings and tools.
  • Proficiency in Agile and other SDLC techniques to develop and deliver software.
  • Experience working in a product model focused on outcomes to continuously improve the customer experience.
  • Mobile and travel/airline industry experience.

  • Understanding of the latest mobile technologies and their application in driving customer engagement.
  • Proven track record in delivering products that generate substantial value.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and prioritize with minimal direction.
  • Excellent communication skills for providing transparency, setting expectations, and reporting results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster trust and encourage collaboration within and across teams.

Pay Range: $45/Hr - $50/Hr
