Role OverviewAs a
User Experience Designer, you will support the creation of high-quality, innovative, and engaging photo and video products designed to capture and enhance guest experiences across theme parks, resorts, and cruise operations.
In this role, you will design visually compelling digital products that incorporate both
user-generated content (UGC) and professionally captured photography and video. You'll apply strong visual design principles, layout and composition expertise, and an understanding of photography and videography to deliver guest-centric, emotionally engaging experiences aligned with brand and storytelling standards.
You will operate within a
matrixed organization, collaborating with a wide range of internal stakeholders to bring products from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and champion the creative vision, design principles, and overall guest experience for photo and video products, with a primary focus on visual design, graphic layout, and composition
- Lead assigned product design initiatives, including creative concept development, storyboards, and prototypes
- Create storyboards, samples, prototypes, templates, and other visual assets for demonstrations and user testing
- Manage creative development and approvals from initial concept through final production, including creative direction, reviews, and revisions
- Partner with cross-functional leadership (Managers, Directors, VPs) across Technology & Digital and the broader organization to present design concepts, pitches, and recommendations
- Conduct user experience research, including gathering and analyzing primary and secondary data, to validate design decisions and user acceptance
- Assess market trends and consumer insights to inform and evolve product experiences
- Advocate for the guest experience throughout the design process, ensuring intuitive, engaging, and high-quality outcomes
- Collaborate with legal and internal partners to ensure content compliance related to usage rights, copyright, and other regulatory considerations
- Apply knowledge of entertainment, themed environments, and branded IP to design work
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills & ExperienceBasic Qualifications- 3+ years of industry experience as an end-to-end visual, UX, or product designer
- Strong portfolio demonstrating visual design expertise, including graphic design, typography, layout, and composition
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom
- Experience applying user-centered design principles and design thinking methodologies
- Ability to independently generate creative ideas while working within defined constraints and guidelines
- Experience designing digital products with a focus on innovation and emerging technologies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience partnering across multiple teams
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with photography- or videography-driven products
- Familiarity with user-generated content (UGC) and social media design trends
- Experience maintaining or working across multiple design systems, tools, or platforms
- Interest in emerging technologies that influence digital storytelling and product innovation
