Summary

Position Title: Technical Support Analyst 3 / IT Hardware Asset Analyst

Location: Virginia State University — Petersburg, VA

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Interview Process: In-Person Only

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Hardware Asset Analyst to manage our IT hardware and software assets across their entire lifecycle—from initial acquisition through retirement. You will oversee inventory, coordinate transfers, handle ticket resolution, track warranties and licenses, and support major PC refresh initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lifecycle & Ticket Queue Management: Monitor and process ITSM ITAM queue tickets (7–10 day turnaround) and coordinate asset transfers across departments (5–7 day SLA).
Inventory & Auditing: Perform physical inventories, track physical locations and asset histories, and conduct semi-annual software repository reconciliations.
PC Refresh & IMAC: Assist with Installs, Moves, Adds, and Changes (IMAC) and PC refresh efforts.
Contracts & Warranties: Maintain accurate records for hardware warranties, maintenance agreements, lease contracts, and software licensing.
Reporting: Generate and review weekly IT asset management reports and update ticket history details.
