Summary

As a Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst within our Global Liquidity data team, you will play a critical role in driving accountability, compliance, and sustainable change across complex, multi-stakeholder environment. Bringing deep expertise in issue management and a sharp analytical mindset, you will own the end-to-end identification, escalation, remediation, and closure of issues, challenging partners to implement scalable, root-cause solutions that drive continuous improvement at a global scale. The ideal candidate is dynamic and adaptable, with the executive presence and communication skills to distill complex governance concepts into clear narratives for senior stakeholders and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee end-to-end issue management processes, from identification and escalation through remediation, tracking, and resolution, ensuring adherence to Citi's Data Governance Policy standards at every stage
  • Manage Business/Function Quality Control engagement over the complete lifecycle of high-impact issue remediations and primary remediation programs, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Manage a comprehensive tracking and reporting issue inventory, including issue quality metrics for visibility on control gaps, Issues quality control processes, risk highlights, and escalating concerns.
  • Leverage analytics to assess remediation trends, identify key risks, and develop insights that inform correction action plans, integrating lessons learned to drive continuous improvement and timely issue closure.
  • Challenge key stakeholders to deliver scalable, sustainable solutions that address root causes globally, rather than short-term workarounds.
  • Engage directly with Subject Matter Experts, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to gather information, resolve data quality gaps/issues from start to finish, ensuring timely follow-up, clear communication, and well-documented metrics and reporting
  • Support and coordinate with business lines and global functions on enterprise Data Governance strategy roll out, including updates to existing Data Governance issue management policies.
  • Maintain current and comprehensive knowledge of data governance principles, regulatory expectations, and evolving data governance best practices
  • Gather and synthesize metrics on existing Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls principles, policies, practices and standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely execution of milestones, provide reporting of potential risks to delivery, and incorporate milestone reporting and changes
  • Lead internal negotiations and influence outcomes across business lines and global functions without direct authority

Recommended Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years relevant experience in Data Governance/ Data Management/ Process Engineering or related area with strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep, working knowledge of Data Governance structure, issue management lifecycle, compliance requirements, and enforcement mechanisms
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership with strong results orientation
  • Keen understanding of enterprise systems, including database structures and how information moves between systems. Ability to interpret process flows and engage effectively with technology partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and drive work forward while managing competing priorities under tight deadlines
  • Proven track record of owning issues and delivering end to end solutions with ability to anticipate and balance needs of multiple stakeholders while monitoring tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes
  • Ability to communicate effectively to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
  • Proven ability to handle ambiguity and complexity and be able to deliver on multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills across a variety of stakeholders at different levels
  • Collaborate effectively by building partnerships and working well with others to meet shared objectives
