Senior Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Madison, WI that is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale enterprise software implementation and modernization initiatives. This role is ideal for a proven project leader who thrives in complex environments, can influence stakeholders across the organization, and has a track record of successfully delivering high-impact technology projects from planning through deployment.

Responsibilities
* Lead complex, multi-year enterprise software implementation and modernization projects
* Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies
* Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, and critical path schedules
* Coordinate activities across technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and third-party partners
* Drive project execution, remove obstacles, and ensure accountability for deliverables
* Facilitate stakeholder alignment, decision-making, and executive reporting
* Monitor project health and proactively escalate risks, issues, and resource constraints
* Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and implementation activities
* Ensure successful solution deployment, operational readiness, and transition to support teams

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of IT Project Management experience; 10+ years preferred
* Proven success delivering large-scale enterprise software implementation, migration, upgrade, or conversion projects
* Strong experience managing third-party vendors and implementation partners
* Expertise in Waterfall SDLC, project governance, stage-gate reviews, scope management, and risk management
* Experience creating and managing detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project
* Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority
* Strong communication skills with both technical and executive audiences
* Experience navigating complex organizational environments and competing priorities
* Demonstrated ability to independently drive projects to successful completion

Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* PMP or other project management certification
* Experience working with highly integrated business and operational systems
* Experience with enterprise platform modernization projects

The ideal candidate brings strong experience managing enterprise software implementation, upgrade, migration, or conversion projects using Waterfall methodologies. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong vendor management, executive communication, risk management, and project delivery expertise.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
