About the Role

We are looking for an analytical powerhouse and technical expert to drive the end-to-end delivery of business intelligence and reporting solutions. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex data infrastructure and critical business insights for healthcare and state program benefits. You will take complete ownership of reporting releases—from writing advanced SQL and building robust ETL pipelines to designing high-impact dashboards in Tableau and SSRS.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End BI Delivery: Own the complete lifecycle of reporting releases, translating business requirements into scalable Tableau dashboards and SSRS reports.
  • Data Architecture & ETL: Design, build, and optimize robust ETL pipelines and analytical modules facilitating smooth data flow from OLTP to OLAP databases.
  • Advanced Data Analysis: Perform deep-dive data analysis on complex client datasets using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SSRS, and Tableau to uncover trends, ensure data integrity, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Requirements & Collaboration: Drive Functional JAD (Joint Application Development) sessions, author Detailed Design Documents (DDDs), and manage release cycles.
  • Ad-Hoc & Custom Reporting: Write high-performance SQL scripts for ad-hoc analytical queries to support dynamic business needs.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

  • Core BI & Reporting: Extensive experience in Tableau development (dashboard creation, visual best practices) and SSRS development (report building, deployment).
  • Data Engineering & ETL: Proven expertise in ETL architecture and development, moving data efficiently from OLTP to OLAP environments.
  • Database Expertise: Advanced SQL script design, writing, and optimization for complex data sets using SSMS.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep functional domain knowledge in Healthcare and State program benefits (e.g., Medicaid, public assistance, health exchange, or government welfare analytics).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong background leading JAD sessions and authoring technical/functional documentation (DDDs).
  • Demonstrated experience with release management ownership in fast-paced BI environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
