Description
We are looking for a Network Engineer to support and enhance enterprise network operations in Phoenix, Arizona. This role focuses on maintaining secure, reliable connectivity across critical infrastructure while partnering with internal teams to resolve issues and improve performance. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking environments, firewall administration, and routing protocols in complex production settings.
Responsibilities:
Administer and optimize network infrastructure built on Cisco routing technologies to ensure stable and efficient connectivity.
Configure, monitor, and support Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls to maintain strong perimeter security and controlled network access.
Manage Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) configurations and routing behavior to support dependable external and internal traffic flow.
Investigate network incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to plan network changes, validate performance, and maintain service reliability.
Develop and maintain clear technical documentation for configurations, standards, topology updates, and support procedures.
Evaluate network performance trends and recommend improvements that strengthen scalability, resilience, and security.
Requirements
Hands-on experience administering Cisco routers in a business-critical network environment.
Working knowledge of Palo Alto Firewall platforms and security policy management.
Experience supporting Cisco ASA firewall configurations and ongoing operational needs.
Strong understanding of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and practical routing troubleshooting.
Solid foundation in Cisco networking concepts, protocols, and best practices.
Ability to diagnose complex network issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical stakeholders.
