We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Lead to define, implement, and elevate our automation
strategy across CCAP s custom web applications and backend services. This role combines technical
leadership with hands-on engineering, ensuring scalable automation frameworks, high test reliability,
and measurable improvements in product quality.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in modern browser automation using Playwright, and strong
experience validating Java and Scala /Purescript systems backed by PostgreSQL databases.
Key Responsibilities Automation Strategy & Architecture
- Define and execute a comprehensive Test strategy to include test automation roadmap aligned with application roadmaps
- Architect and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Gitlab, Scala /Purescript,Java and Playwright
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test suites
- Establish best practices for functional, integration, regression, API, and database testing.
- Write high-quality automated tests (UI, API, integration and regression)
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines
- Review Test Plan, scripts and enforce quality standards
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor QA automation engineers
- Conduct technical reviews and enforce coding standards
- Collaborate with Software Development, DevOps, and Product Owners to ensure quality at every stage of development
- Participate in Project meetings, Test refinement, provide testing sign off for release readiness reviews.
Quality Governance & Metrics
- Define test strategies for new features and platform enhancements
- Establish KPIs for automation coverage, execution stability, and defect leakage
- Update management with reporting on metrics, providing recommendations
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in QA automation
- 3+ years in a senior or lead role
- Expert proficiency with modern web automation frameworks and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc.)
- Experience testing systems backed by PostgreSQL, including writing and validating SQL queries
- Experience with API testing (RESTful services)
- CI/CD integration experience (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Experience with Agile / Scrum environments
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing automation frameworks from the ground up
- Knowledge of test reporting tools
- Experience with containerization (Docker)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with Source code management tools and build pipelines
- Performance and load testing experience
- Experience implementing and managing to NIST or other cybersecurity risk framework
