Location: Plano, Texas (Hybrid)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAFe Product Owner to join our dynamic team in the security or banking domain. The ideal candidate will have a background in agile methodologies and an understanding of financial services or security systems. This role requires defining and prioritizing the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of features for the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and prioritize the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities.
- Work with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business priorities.
- Lead the planning of product release plans, Program Increment (PI) planning, and Sprint Planning.
- Mitigate team dependencies to support the successful completion of Release and Sprint Goals.
- Maintain knowledge of Agile and Scrum best practices and new trends.
- Adhere to enterprise standards for documentation in software delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Run daily scrum calls, planning meetings, and backlog grooming sessions.
- Write user stories and manage backlogs.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in the security or banking domain, with a prior background in Development or Quality Assurance.
Technical Skills:- Strong understanding of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
- Experience with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
- Technical proficiency in using Jira or other agile project management tools to generate reports.
- Ability to drive a technology-driven project.
- Experience communicating and coordinating between Developers, Architects, and business partners.
- Experience understanding new requirements and sizing the efforts.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards affecting the banking or security sectors, such as GDPR or MRA.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) environments.
