Project Manager (Duck Creek Delivery / Insurance)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver Duck Creek implementation and modernization projects within the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, staffing, monitoring, controlling, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex software and cloud migration initiatives. This role requires strong stakeholder management, Agile delivery experience, and expertise in managing cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for Duck Creek delivery initiatives within Progressive insurance environments.
• Proactively manage, monitor, and report project status to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery of service management and software development projects.
• Coordinate and oversee third-party software vendors, ensuring software quality, project timelines, and budget adherence.
• Define and document project scope and facilitate the creation of detailed project plans, iteration plans, and delivery schedules.
• Perform risk, issue, and change management while ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Develop resource demand forecasts, conduct schedule variance analysis, identify delivery risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support resource performance management and contribute to team development initiatives.
• Lead validation and migration projects involving DCOD cloud/co-location environments and on-premise data center infrastructure.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, product owners, developers, QA teams, and leadership.
• Facilitate workshops, discussions, and status meetings to drive alignment, transparency, and informed decision-making.
• Collaborate proactively to ensure shared understanding of project goals, requirements, priorities, and timelines.

Required Qualifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required.
• CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) certification preferred/required.
• Strong experience in the Insurance domain.
• Proven experience managing Duck Creek implementation or delivery projects.
• Experience with Agile and/or Scrum project delivery methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing cloud, co-location, and on-premise infrastructure migration projects.
