Job Title: Senior Business Analyst Payments Domain

Location: Jersey City, NJ (On-site, 5 days/week)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with at least 5 years of solid experience in business analysis, preferably within the Payments Line of Business (LOB) or financial services domain. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and highly skilled in gathering and refining requirements. This is an on-site position based in Jersey City, NJ, with the expectation to work 5 days from the office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Filter and structure incoming requirements to eliminate noise, identify priorities, and clarify scope.
• Develop comprehensive BRDs (Business Requirement Documents), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Support end-to-end delivery, from ideation to production rollout.
• Participate in requirement review sessions and ensure alignment across business and technology teams.
• Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation of business needs post-implementation.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, enterprise-level environment.
• Stay current with trends and developments in the payments industry, and demonstrate willingness to grow in this domain.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in financial services or banking.
• Strong experience in requirement elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
• Proven ability to reduce ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and deliver clear, actionable requirements.
• Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Excel, and visio/flowcharting tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience or understanding of the Payments Line of Business (e.g., wires, ACH, RTP, SWIFT, ISO 20022, etc.).
• Exposure to enterprise-level financial systems.
• Comfortable working in highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of data flows and system integration is a plus.
