Serverless Developer

We are seeking a.NET Developer to work with our team on a digital platform that powers direct mail campaigns sending 60–80 million physical mailers to business customers annually. This person will contribute to modernizing legacy systems by building on our platform backend which processes direct mail campaigns using serverless infrastructure (AWS Lambdas) and event-driven workflows (AWS Event Manager) to automate connectivity between internal systems and external vendor APIs.

Role

• Actively participate in architectural discussions to transition existing systems into a service-oriented, serverless environment.
• Support and enhance existing back-end services and design & deploy serverless architectures to modernize our existing API / C# (.NET Core 6+) based architecture.
• Build backend services and serverless functions in C# interfacing with external APIs and vendors to pull in and push out customer and postal data.
• Build and manage long-running business processes and state machines using AWS Step Functions.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs via Amazon API Gateway to integrate digital triggers with physical card fulfillment processes.
• Utilize DynamoDB, S3, SQS, and EventBridge to ensure reliable data flow and messaging across the platform.

·       Contribute to the JavaScript-based operator interface application as needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for a .NET developer proficient with.NET Core/.NET 6+ who has built event-driven systems using AWS Lambda and Step Functions.

Required

• Proven, recent experience building and operating AWS Lambda Functions.
• Hands-on experience designing workflows with AWS Step Functions (or comparable cloud equivalents like Azure Logic Apps/Durable Functions).
• Experience with Amazon API Gateway and designing REST APIs for service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) and NoSQL (DynamoDB).
• Proficiency with Git and modern CI/CD practices; candidates with only monolithic/legacy experience will not be considered.

Preferred

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform).
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (React.js, Node.js).
• Experience with cloud observability, logging, and monitoring.

Details

• Term: Nine-month contract with potential to convert to permanent position.
• Schedule: Onsite at the Minneapolis office every Tuesday and Thursday.W2 Rate:  $50 - $55/hr.
