Our client, one of the largest Energy companies in US providing a wide range of Energy related products and services to its customers, seeks accomplished Product Owner (Mobile Applications).

Notes:

• Work Schedule: Remote initially; hybrid onsite approximately 2 days per week or as needed as the team/work environment evolves.
• Work Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm.
• Interview Process: Initial hiring manager/team screen; technical screen; case study/practical evaluation.

Responsibilities / Job Description:

• Seeking an experienced Product Owner with direct mobile application product ownership experience to support a major mobile app modernization initiative.
• This is not intended to be a general Product Owner or web Product Owner search.
• The Product Owner will be dedicated to a mobile app refresh/rebuild initiative while also providing ongoing product ownership for the existing mobile application.
• The individual will help guide the development of a new MVP, establish priorities and roadmap direction, represent the Voice of the Customer, and ultimately help lead the go/no-go decision regarding migration from the existing application to the new platform.
• The role requires someone who can step into an existing mobile environment and contribute immediately.
• The initiative is currently in its early stages, so the Product Owner will have significant influence over the direction of the new application.

Qualifications:

• Direct mobile application Product Owner experience is a must have requirement.
• Candidates should demonstrate actual ownership of a customer-facing mobile product, including roadmap/backlog responsibilities, mobile releases, and direct work with mobile development teams.
• Mobile application platforms: Customer-facing iOS and/or Android experience; understanding of native vs. cross-platform development.
• Mobile architecture & integrations: Understanding of APIs, backend integrations, authentication/security, and mobile architecture.
• Mobile development lifecycle: Experience with mobile development teams, releases, enhancements, and application lifecycle management.
• Direct Mobile Application Product Owner experience with meaningful ownership of a customer-facing mobile app. Web-only/general Product Owner experience is not sufficient.
• Product roadmap and backlog ownership, including feature prioritization, releases, and competing requirements.
• Strong Voice of the Customer experience, translating customer/business needs into clear product requirements and priorities.
• Cross-functional leadership and technical credibility, working directly with mobile developers, architects, UX, business teams, and external vendors.

Nice to Haves:

• React and/or React Native experience.
• Cross-platform mobile development experience, particularly transitioning from native iOS/Android applications.
• Mobile modernization, rebuild, or MVP experience, including launches, migrations, platform changes, or go/no-go decisions.
