Description: We are seeking a
Level 3 Manufacturing Engineer to support airframe engineering and production operations. In this role, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for structural components and assemblies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality, tooling, planning, and supply chain to ensure products are manufacturable, efficient, and compliant with program requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, optimization, and refinement of manufacturing processes for components and assemblies.
- Participate in producibility reviews and manufacturing readiness activities for new and updated designs.
- Translate engineering drawings, models, specifications, and technical requirements into effective manufacturing processes and work instructions.
- Assist in defining tooling, fixtures, jigs, and assembly methods to improve production efficiency.
- Investigate manufacturing issues and support root cause analysis for defects, process disruptions, and quality concerns.
- Collaborate with design engineering teams to enhance manufacturability, assembly sequencing, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain and update manufacturing documentation, including process plans, work instructions, and special process requirements.
- Support production operations by applying engineering analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies to resolve issues.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Typically 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, production engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with mechanical assemblies and manufacturing processes, preferably within aerospace, defense, automotive, or other high-reliability industries.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, models, and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience supporting troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
