Description
We are looking for a Service Technician to join a detail-oriented Services team in Irmo, South Carolina. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on field work supporting low-voltage, security, and network infrastructure systems. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain cabling and device installations across a range of client environments while contributing to safe, high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain low-voltage systems, including component cabling, category cabling, fiber connections, and related network infrastructure.
Install and support access control equipment, including door hardware and connected security devices, to ensure reliable site functionality.
Service and maintain video surveillance systems, performing inspections, adjustments, and corrective work as needed.
Build, modify, and maintain cable pathways that support security and communication systems in commercial environments.
Work independently on service calls or coordinate with onsite leadership and team members on more complex assignments.
Keep company-issued tools, materials, and equipment in good working order and ready for daily field use.
Follow established safety procedures and field best practices while working in active job sites, equipment areas, and outdoor conditions.
Assist with additional service and installation tasks as business needs require while supporting overall team success.
Requirements
At least 1 year of experience in physical security, information technology, electronics, or a closely related technical field.
Hands-on experience with access control systems and surveillance platform configuration or support.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles in accordance with company policy.
Ability to pass required background screening and drug testing.
Familiarity with network cabling, cable installation, fiber-optic work, and low-voltage systems.
Ability to use measuring tools accurately and work safely on ladders or aerial lifts when required.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends, based on project demands.
