Position SummaryAs a
Monitoring & Diagnostics Engineer, you will serve as the frontline technical expert, analyzing operational data and alarms to identify trends and abnormalities in power plant performance. You will collaborate with internal teams and external customers to deliver timely, high-quality recommendations. This role also involves supporting project rollouts, configuring EtaPRO tools, and contributing to training, consulting, and sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide accurate, timely technical recommendations to customers to meet operational and business goals.
- Troubleshoot urgent plant technical issues remotely using engineering expertise.
- Review and analyze operational data in both tabular and graphical formats.
- Communicate effectively with customers to ensure operational concerns are understood and addressed.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop innovative solutions for customer needs.
- Perform pre- and post-outage evaluations and advanced diagnostics on plant equipment.
- Lead fleet-wide deployments of remote monitoring technologies.
- Develop advanced reporting and data evaluation techniques to optimize monitoring.
- Serve as an instructor for EtaPRO technology, creating training materials and mentoring junior staff.
- Support sales and marketing with technical expertise and case studies.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 1+ years of relevant experience in power plant monitoring or operations.
- Strong understanding of equipment condition monitoring and performance testing.
- Ability to learn quickly, solve problems, and work in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with thermal performance modeling and condition monitoring software.
- Working knowledge of vibration analysis for rotating equipment (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with EtaPRO (preferred).
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check.
