BAM is seeking a Senior Virtualization Engineer with expertise in implementation, administration and troubleshooting of hypervisor, compute, virtualization and Windows technologies. The candidate will interact with internal business and technical teams to outline and execute on requirements delivering secure, functional and scalable solutions. The optimal candidate will be a very strong and efficient communicator, able to multi-task and have the ability to excel in a fast-paced trading environment. You will work with stakeholders across the firm to deliver solutions that help drive the success of the business.
As a Senior Virtualization Engineer at BAM, you will:
Architect, manage and monitor infrastructure in multiple datacenters globally. Oversee and deploy global solutions with high availability and maximum uptime.
Enhances functionality of systems by developing and automating system processes
Design and implement End User Compute environments
Define standards and best practices across the firm's infrastructure
Partner with infrastructure teams to engineer solutions and provide technical guidance
Train and mentor team members and support staff
Maintain and develop documentation, including reference architecture, runbooks, and knowledge base articles

To be considered a good technical fit, you must have:
7+ years of experience working with large scale virtualization platforms.
Expert knowledge of virtualization platforms, including VMware vSphere and Nutanix AHV
Strong knowledge of PowerShell or Python scripting
Strong knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Directory and Group Policy
Strong knowledge of M365 suite, including Exchange Online, Intune, Entra.
Knowledge of Azure, AWS or other Cloud platforms
Experience working in datacenters, racking, cabling and maintaining servers
Functional understanding of networking
