Conduct stakeholder interviews and user research, particularly with elderly residents, immigrant communities, and other vulnerable populations
Develop user personas and map end-to-end user journeys from scam interaction through reporting and resource access
Translate user needs into functional design requirements for application features and website navigation
Create high-fidelity wireframes and UI designs for mobile and web platforms
Develop clear, plain-language, trauma-informed content in collaboration with support teams
Build interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma for stakeholder review and developer handoff
Facilitate usability testing sessions and iterate designs based on feedback
Ensure visual consistency across all assets in alignment with established design systems
Minimum 4 years of experience in UX/Product Design
Strong expertise in user research methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative approaches (e.g., usability testing, moderated interviews)
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
Experience working in cross-functional teams with engineers and product managers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience designing for multilingual users (Spanish, Chinese, Russian) and vulnerable populations
Background in mobile app (iOS/Android) and responsive web design
Knowledge of accessibility best practices, especially for senior users (e.g., high contrast, readable typography, screen reader support)
Experience working within or contributing to enterprise or municipal design systems
Standard workweek is 35 hours; any overtime must be pre-approved
