The Business Analyst (BA) position at the Texas Education Agency works on multiple projects that support the mission of the agency of improving outcomes for Texas students, with a focus on major enhancements and/or rewrite effort.

This position will perform advanced, senior-level business analysis work. The business analyst serves as the conduit between the program/customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow. Elicits requirements using joint application development (JAD), interviews, document analysis, surveys, use cases, competitive product analysis, and workflow analysis.

2 - Requirements Writing & Visual Output
Transforms information from elicitation sessions into business and functional requirements, use cases, user stories, software requirements specifications documents, wireframes, and mockups. Uses standard templates and simple, unambiguous, and concise natural language.

3 - BA Best Practices & Mentorship
Acts as a mentor to peers and colleagues in disseminating best practices and proactively seeks out training opportunities.
