Title: React / AWS Developer  (AI-Assisted Development)

Location: Houston, TX / Jackson, MS

Work Model: Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week

Job Summary

ComTec is seeking an experienced React / AWS Developer with hands-on experience in AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code and AWS Kiro to build, test, and deploy scalable AWS-hosted web applications while accelerating development and ensuring code quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy React-based web applications hosted on AWS.
• Build responsive user interfaces using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Kiro) for code generation, debugging, refactoring, and faster application delivery.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs, backend services, and enterprise systems.
• Develop and maintain clean, reusable, secure, and production-ready code.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, unit testing, UAT, deployment, and production support.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, AWS Kiro, or similar tools for coding, debugging, and accelerating development.
• Experience developing web applications and integrating REST APIs with backend services.
• Working knowledge of AWS services, including S3, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, ECS/Fargate, and Cognito.
• Familiarity with Node.js and backend API development.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Git, and modern frontend development practices.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, code reviews, unit testing, and UAT.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot issues and deliver secure, production-ready applications.
• Experience with utility operations or enterprise operational applications is an added advantage.
