We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level IT Project Engineer to support the planning, implementation, coordination, and delivery of technology projects. The ideal candidate will work with project managers, engineers, developers, IT teams, and business stakeholders to help ensure projects are delivered according to requirements, timelines, and technical standards.
This position is suitable for entry level candidates and candidates with internships, academic projects, or hands-on IT project experience.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing IT projects.
Support project teams with technical tasks, documentation, and project tracking.
Gather and document technical requirements from stakeholders.
Assist with project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and status reports.
Coordinate with software, infrastructure, cloud, networking, and support teams.
Monitor project progress and communicate updates to project managers.
Assist with system implementation, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
Troubleshoot basic technical issues and coordinate resolution with appropriate teams.
Maintain project documentation, technical specifications, and implementation records.
Participate in project meetings and document action items and decisions.
Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment activities.
Help identify project risks, dependencies, and technical issues.
Follow IT security, compliance, and organizational standards.
Support post-deployment activities and project closeout.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, cloud computing, and networking.
Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and IT project processes.
Familiarity with project management concepts and methodologies.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project documentation.
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Skills
Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Basic understanding of SQL, databases, APIs, or scripting.
Exposure to Git/GitHub and CI/CD concepts.
Familiarity with IT service management or ITIL concepts.
Experience with academic or internship-based IT projects.
