Summary

Description
Our healthcare client in NYC, is looking for a Systems Engineer who will be involved in project work and operational support.
Responsibilities:
Leads IT projects and implements new systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Support the business across HIPAA, PCI, SOC2, and HITRUST compliance requirements, including audit preparation and evidence collection.
Manages IAM, including SCIM, SAML, and Entra ID integrations.
Designs and maintains scalable, secure network infrastructure across HQ and clinic locations.
Oversees IP management, ISP coordination, and creation of network/low-voltage diagrams.
Automates recurring workflows using PowerShell, Power Automate, Logic Apps, and similar tools.
Supports Microsoft Fabric (Power BI) data reporting infrastructure in coordination with Finance and Engineering teams.
Manages new site build-outs with growth teams, architects, engineers, and contractors.
Proactively manages endpoint and server security with antivirus, vulnerability tools, patch management, and MDM policies to minimize risk exposure.
Monitors network security and performance with documented escalation processes and SLA-driven response standards.
Partners with leadership on vendor evaluation, contract management, account billing, and technology roadmap planning.
Administers cloud-based telecom platforms and identify enhancements.
Serves as the escalation point for advanced technical issues.
Provides on-site support at the NYC Headquarters and clinics at least 2 days per week.
Participates in after-hours on-call rotations, including holidays.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
60-70% Project Work:
Cybersecurity initiatives (PCI compliance, Salesforce/Microsoft security improvements)
Phone system migration (Talkdesk RingCentral)
Automation initiatives across departments
Platform audits, cost optimization, and infrastructure improvements
30-40% Operational Support:
Escalated support issues (L2/L3)
Assisting internal teams with system-related needs
Ad hoc troubleshooting and stabilization work
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 8 years of experience as a Systems Engineer/Systems Administrator or equivalent combination of education, certification, and/or experience.
Experience in Salesforce administration, with a focus on security management.
Experience with project management, leading large cross-functional teams.
Extensive experience with architecture design and support for Microsoft Services: Azure, Fabric, M365, SharePoint, Power Automate, Exchange, Purview, and Intune.
Demonstrated experience building and deploying automation solutions that reduce manual toil and improve operational efficiency.
Willingness to travel up to 20% and work flexible hours during emergencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
CCSP - Certified Cloud Security Professional and/or advanced Microsoft certifications are preferred.
Experience in integrating data with EHR and PACS systems in healthcare using HL7, DICOM, and webhooks.

Commitment to staying current with evolving cloud technologies, security threats, and healthcare IT best practices
Strong prioritization and project management skills with the ability to manage competing demands across infrastructure, security, and operational workstreams
High degree of professionalism, reliability, and discretion when handling sensitive patient data and working across clinical and administrative teams

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
