Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Fremont, CA that is seeking a Lab Space Planner.

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled space planning professional with strong program management and technical planning skills to support the Space Planning team in delivering front-end lab and workplace environments. This role focuses on leading feasibility studies, developing test fits, and managing lab and workplace planning projects-from concept through to detailed planning and handoff for implementation. You will serve as a key program manager ensuring projects align with Tesla's aggressive timelines, standards, and cross-functional needs. The ideal candidate is a multidisciplinary planner with 5-7 years of practical experience in lab/workplace space planning, Revit modeling, feasibility analysis, and delivering high-quality planning packages in a dynamic, high-velocity environment.

What You'll Do:
* Lead and maintain the front-end space planning workflow and program processes for lab and workplace development projects
* Manage multiple concurrent planning efforts for infrastructure, labs, and workplace spaces from initial concept through detailed test fits and planning package delivery
* Thrive in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing and executing many projects and tasks in parallel
* Collaborate on feasibility studies and develop optimized test fits that meet operational, code, and design requirements
* Translate design briefs, stakeholder requirements, and architectural constraints into detailed Revit models, space plans, and clear presentation materials
* Coordinate post-planning refinements, including basic model adjustments and package documentation to support downstream design and construction teams
* Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, facilities, operations, lab users) to ensure program alignment, resolve conflicts, and drive timely decisions

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture, or equivalent experience
* 5-7 years of professional experience in space planning, lab planning, workplace design, or related fields
* Strong technical proficiency in Revit (required for modeling, space planning, and documentation); proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite (for diagrams/presentations), and PowerPoint
* Proven experience leading front-end lab planning, workplace space planning, or similar environments
* Demonstrated ability to produce detailed 3D models, test fits, and planning deliverables in Revit
* Solid understanding of engineering disciplines, building codes, lab safety/operational standards, and workplace ergonomics
* Track record of delivering integrated planning packages (e.g., test fits, space utilization reports, IFC/IFP-level documentation)
* Exceptional program management skills: ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to align diverse teams and drive consensus
