Mission-Critical Hyperscale Data Center (New Build)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field execution on a new-build, mission-critical hyperscale data center project. This is a senior-level role responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction operations, coordinating multiple trades, maintaining strict safety and quality standards, and driving schedule performance on a large-scale, fast-paced project.
The ideal candidate has a strong background delivering complex commercial or industrial projects and understands the precision, urgency, and reliability required in mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Field Execution

  • Plan, direct, and supervise construction activities from feasibility through project closeout
  • Determine construction methods, sequencing, manpower requirements, materials, equipment, and schedules
  • Ensure all work is executed in strict compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and project schedules
  • Lead daily field operations across civil, structural, electrical, and other key construction disciplines

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Coordinate and supervise multiple craft groups, including electricians, carpenters, boilermakers, and other skilled trades
  • Work closely with project management, engineers, subcontractors, and inspectors to resolve field issues
  • Maintain effective communication with trade partners and union representatives as required
  • Foster a positive, accountable jobsite culture focused on safety, quality, and productivity

Resource & Safety Management

  • Enforce project safety programs and ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations
  • Identify hazards, implement corrective actions, and document safety performance
  • Ensure materials, equipment, inspections, and manpower are available to support project milestones
  • Support commissioning-driven construction sequencing common to hyperscale data center builds

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for construction execution
  • Communicate effectively with internal leadership, project executives, clients, vendors, and inspectors
  • Participate in progress meetings and provide clear updates on schedule, manpower, and field conditions

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track construction progress against schedules and production targets
  • Identify potential schedule or productivity issues early and implement corrective actions
  • Support project reporting through field metrics, look-ahead schedules, and daily reports

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure all work meets project quality standards, contract documents, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate inspections and support punch-list, turnover, and closeout activities
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship across all trades

Continuous Improvement

  • Seek opportunities to improve construction processes, field coordination, and site efficiency
  • Apply lessons learned and industry best practices to enhance overall project outcomes

Required Qualifications

Experience & Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 8+ years of supervisory experience on similar commercial, industrial, or technology construction projects
  • Proven experience delivering $50M+ construction projects
  • Strong preference for experience on:
    • Hyperscale or mission-critical data centers
    • Large commercial or industrial facilities
    • Technology, electrical, or infrastructure-heavy projects

Core Skills

  • Strong construction management and field leadership experience
  • Solid understanding of construction means and methods across multiple trades
  • Working knowledge of project scheduling, sequencing, and cost control
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor cross-functional field teams
  • Proven track record of maintaining high safety standards and quality outcomes

Additional Requirements

  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Strong communication skills with field teams, leadership, and external stakeholders

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $90.00/hr.
