Job Title: Technical Project Manager Duration: 12+ Months contract with extension Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite on every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) Client: Apple Role Summary We are seeking a highly driven Technical Project Manager (TPM) to support a fast-paced, high-visibility messaging and chat platform that powers communication across multiple entry points. This role will focus on driving partner engagement, production support coordination, release management, sprint execution, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering and Business teams.
The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, can independently establish processes and operating cadences, and has experience managing complex technical initiatives involving chat ecosystems, messaging tools, or AI/ML-driven platforms.
Key Responsibilities - Drive day-to-day execution for a mission-critical messaging/chat platform with high business impact and operational visibility.
- Coordinate and manage production incidents, triage activities, and issue resolution efforts with Engineering teams.
- Support release management activities, ensuring smooth deployments and operational readiness.
- Partner closely with Business stakeholders to gather, refine, and prioritize requirements for tools and platform enhancements.
- Lead engagement across multiple business partners and engineering teams to align priorities and execution timelines.
- Establish and manage Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and delivery tracking.
- Build and improve operational processes, workflows, and project governance structures.
- Drive execution for new initiatives, including emerging GenAI-enabled tools and automation opportunities.
- Track risks, dependencies, blockers, and overall project health while communicating updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to ensure efficient delivery and operational stability of the platform.
- Support new product/tool onboarding efforts and help integrate them into existing operational frameworks.
Required Qualifications - 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, Technical Program Manager, or similar role.
- Strong experience managing cross-functional technical projects in fast-paced environments.
- Experience coordinating with Engineering teams on production incidents, issue triage, and release management.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and sprint execution.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to independently drive initiatives, establish processes, and execute with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with technical product teams and translating business requirements into actionable deliverables.
- Strong problem-solving and execution mindset.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting messaging platforms, chat ecosystems, customer engagement tools, or communication platforms.
- Exposure to Machine Learning or GenAI-related projects and understanding of ML lifecycle concepts.
- Familiarity with intent models, AI-driven workflows, or conversational platforms.
- Prior experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Experience working within NPI (New Product Introduction) environments is a plus.
- Technical background or ability to effectively collaborate with Engineering teams on technical discussions.
