Hours: M-F Regular business hours

Location: Hybrid - Onsite T-Th, Remote M&F. Multiple locations: Wayne, PA, Plano, TX, Charlotte, NC, or Scottsdale, AZ

Compensation: $72-$100/hr (W2)

Job Type: Full-time, contract to hire

Job Profile Summary

Executes the vision, future direction, and initiative roadmap for strategic infrastructure technology programs, with a focus on enterprise campus networking architectures, including wired and wireless access, network access control (NAC), and identity-based policy enforcement. Defines reference and implementation architectures that enable secure, scalable, resilient, and user-centric campus environments across corporate offices, branch locations, and critical facilities.

Core Responsibilities

In addition to the standard responsibilities:

• Defines and governs enterprise campus network architectures, including wired access, wireless LAN (WLAN), and edge connectivity designs.
• Provides architectural leadership for network access control (NAC) solutions, including Cisco ISE, covering authentication, authorization, profiling, posture assessment, and policy enforcement.
• Leads the design and standardization of enterprise wireless architectures using Aruba Networks platforms, including controller-based and controller-less designs, RF planning, roaming, and high-availability models.
• Establishes standards for secure user and device onboarding, guest access, BYOD, and IoT connectivity across campus environments.
• Ensures campus network designs align with zero trust principles, identity-based segmentation, and enterprise security standards.
• Defines patterns for integrating campus networks with data center, WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity architectures.
• Partners with endpoint, identity, security operations, and workplace technology teams to ensure consistent end-to-end user experience and policy enforcement.
• Evaluates campus networking technologies and vendors based on scalability, operational simplicity, resiliency, user experience, and lifecycle alignment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Deep expertise in campus networking architectures, including wired access, WLAN, QoS, and edge design patterns.
• Architectural experience with Cisco ISE, including identity services, policy sets, integrations with directory services, and enforcement models.
• Strong hands-on architectural experience with Aruba wireless solutions, including RF design, mobility services, and enterprise-scale deployments.
• Solid understanding of identity-based networking, segmentation, and zero trust access models in campus environments.
• Experience integrating campus networks with security platforms, endpoint management, and enterprise authentication services.
• Strong knowledge of high-availability, resiliency, and operational governance for large-scale campus infrastructures.

Position: Security Control Assessor

Location: Washington, DC (100% ONSITE)

MUST HAVES:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance | Bachelor's & 5+ Years of Experience | IAT Level II Certification (please send copy)
• Experience STIG Viewer, eMASS, building ATO packages, developing test plans
• Has worked within a Cloud environment (highly preferred)

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Security Control Assessor and Validator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, testing, and validating the effectiveness of security controls within our organization's information systems and networks, with a strong emphasis on applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Responsibilities:

The Security Control Assessor will be responsible for the following:

• Provide the United States Coast Guard (USCG) with tailored documentation to support their security authorization.
• Independent assessor for Risk Management Framework Steps 0 to 7.
• Plan and execute security control assessments for various information systems within the organization.
• Develop and maintain assessment procedures and methodologies aligned with NIST guidelines and other relevant frameworks.
• Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented security controls.
• Identify vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and potential risks in information systems and infrastructure.
• Prepare detailed Security Assessment Reports (SARs) documenting findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with system owners, ISSOs, and other stakeholders throughout the assessment process.
• Verify the implementation of remediation actions and conduct follow-up assessments as needed.
• Provide expert advice on the development and maintenance of System Security Plans (SSPs) and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
• Stay current with evolving cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practices.
• Validate security control implementation and provide test results.
• Hands-on experience in assessing RMF Step 4 and performing continuous monitoring.
• Examine security control weaknesses and determine if they are producing the desired intent.
• Deep understanding of Vulnerability Management practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Intimate understanding of NIST RMF implementation guidance.
• Hands-on experience with using eMASS or similar Information Assurance tools.
• Experience analyzing vulnerability scans and STIG implementations.
• Knowledge/Familiarity with DoD 8500, DoD 8510, DHS 4300 A and B, NIST SP 800-18, 60, 70, 53, 53A, 137, IACS, CMRS, COAMS, JIMS, Swimlane, Governance, Risk, and Compliance, POA&M (i.e., Management, Assessment, etc.), ERS, FISMA, Knowledge Service, ACAS, Tanium, Power BI, Project/Program Management, TASKORD (i.e., FRAGO, CTO, etc.), and Data Calls (i.e., OIG Audit, etc.)

Desired:

• Well-developed understanding of Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and ideally the DHS Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) process as it relates to Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A).
• Relevant DOD, DHS or .gov Cyber Security Information Assurance focused experience with specific current hands-on experience researching, writing, and submitting complete documentation packages for new system authorizations.
