Summary

Job Title: System Software Programmer Consultant
Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid 3 days onsite per week)
Duration: 12 months

Note: Candidates applying for this role must be eligible for getting security clearance whenever needed by the client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale web applications and database integrations using Microsoft SQL Server.

  • Identify, extract, transform, and prepare data in accordance with business requirements and data governance standards.

  • Conduct detailed data analysis, profiling, and cleansing to optimize data quality.

  • Interpret complex data and present insights effectively using advanced reporting techniques.

  • Standardize, harmonize, and maintain datasets for reporting and analysis.

  • Lead design, testing, and validation of system interfaces and data exchange procedures with internal and external partners.

  • Serve as the primary contact for interface production file issues and monitor batch processes for errors.

  • Develop and manage data analysis reports using Microsoft PowerBI.

  • Monitor database growth trends and implement strategies for performance optimization and scalability.

  • Participate in oversight and reporting for vendor software development and operational performance.

  • Maintain enterprise data stewardship, metadata, and governance practices.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and data retention requirements impacting enterprise information architecture.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator.

  • 5+ years of experience in large system architecture and production system implementation.

  • Experience overseeing work of software development vendors.

  • Proficiency in:

    • Microsoft SQL Server

    • Team Foundation Server (TFS)

    • Microsoft Visual Studio 2022

    • C#, ASP.NET, .NET

    • PowerShell

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Child Support Enforcement system design and development.

  • Experience with Microsoft PowerBI.

Environment & Tools:

  • MS SQL 2022 Enterprise Server & Reporting Services

  • Team Foundation Server (TFS)

  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2022

  • C#, ASP.NET, .NET

  • PowerShell

  • Microsoft PowerBI
