Job Summary
The AODB & Common Use Systems Engineer provides administration, operational support, and technical ownership for the Airport Operational Database (AODB) and Common Use Passenger Processing platforms. This role supports AODB, CUPPS, and CUTE environments, including the current Amadeus AODB and EASE 5 systems, as well as any future successor platforms designated by the Airport.
The position supports airline operations, flight data management, gate and counter allocation, baggage handling integrations, passenger processing workflows, and downstream airport systems. The engineer serves as the primary technical point of contact for AODB and Common Use system operations, vendors, airlines, Airport Operations, and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support the Airport Operational Database (AODB), ensuring accurate, available, and real-time flight operations data.
- Support Common Use Passenger Processing Systems (CUPPS) and Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE) environments for airline operations.
- Monitor system health, performance, interfaces, data feeds, and operational availability to maintain mission-critical uptime.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for airline operational issues related to flight data, gates, counters, baggage systems, and passenger processing.
- Manage system configurations for airline profiles, gate and counter resources, and operational parameters.
- Support integrations with airline systems, FIDS, BHS, security systems, billing systems, analytics platforms, and other airport technology environments.
- Coordinate incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for operational system issues.
- Work directly with vendors, airlines, Airport Operations, and IT teams on system changes, enhancements, escalations, and issue resolution.
- Support system upgrades, patches, enhancements, and onboarding of new airlines, services, or operational workflows.
- Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, configuration records, and support materials.
- Support transition planning and implementation for future AODB or Common Use successor platforms.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Three to five years of experience supporting airport operational systems or airline-facing technology platforms.
- Hands-on experience with AODB and Common Use platforms in a live airport environment.
- Experience supporting systems such as Amadeus AODB, CUPPS/CUTE platforms, EASE 5, or equivalent airport operational solutions.
- Strong understanding of airline operations, flight data, gate and counter management, resource allocation, and passenger processing workflows.
- Experience supporting system integrations with FIDS, BHS, billing systems, analytics platforms, and external airline systems.
- Ability to support systems in a 24/7 mission-critical airport operations environment.
- Strong vendor coordination, incident management, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aviation IT experience.
- Vendor-specific certifications related to AODB, CUPPS, CUTE, Amadeus, EASE 5, or equivalent platforms.
- Experience working with airport operations teams, airlines, baggage systems, security systems, and passenger processing environments.
- Experience supporting system upgrades, platform transitions, and airline onboarding activities.
