Senior Business Analyst who has worked in CIO office supporting IT leadership with executive reporting, strategy execution, dashboards, and vendor governance.
- Senior Business Analyst with 14+ years total experience
- Must have worked closely with CIO / IT leadership / OCIO
- Experience acting as:
- Executive support to CIO / IT leadership
- Preparing leadership decks, dashboards, briefings
- Strong in:
- Executive reporting (CIO dashboards, KPI decks)
- Strategy execution / PMO / governance support
- Experience in:
- Vendor management / VMO / procurement coordination
- Strong communication & presentation skills (PowerPoint heavy role)
Role Overview
The Senior Business Analyst supports the Office of the CIO by helping translate IT strategy into execution, materials, and operational insight. This role partners closely with OCIO leadership and IT functional leaders to support strategy operationalization, vendor management initiatives, executive reporting, and IT communications.
This is a senior individual contributor role that operates with a high degree of independence but under the direction of OCIO leadership. The role requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments while supporting multiple concurrent initiatives.
This position is wellsuited for a senior analyst who understands the business of IT, communicates effectively with technical and nontechnical leaders, and is comfortable supporting enterprisescale initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Support & Operationalization
- Support IT strategy efforts by helping translate strategic priorities into roadmaps, initiatives, and supporting materials.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of capability maturity roadmaps, including:
- Mapping initiatives to capability outcomes
- Tracking maturity progression over time
- Supporting documentation and visualizations
- Help prepare materials for CIO strategy reviews, executive briefings, and leadership discussions.
- Support development of Boardlevel and seniorleadership narratives by organizing inputs, drafting content, and refining messaging.
Vendor Management & VMO Support
- Support the development and operationalization of a Strategic Vendor Management framework.
- Partner with OCIO leadership, Procurement, and external partners to support:
- Vendor tiering and segmentation
- Scoring and weighting criteria
- Supplier surveys and inputs
- Assist with preparation of materials for vendor reviews and governance forums.
- Support efforts to consolidate and enable new supplier and contract management (SCM) tools.
CIO Dashboard & Executive Reporting
- Support the development and ongoing refinement of a CIOlevel dashboard.
- Help gather, organize, and synthesize inputs from across IT teams.
- Assist with shaping executiveready views that highlight priorities, progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Ensure materials are accurate, clear, and appropriate for executive audiences.
IT Leadership & CrossFunctional Collaboration
- Partner with leaders and teams across:
- Infrastructure
- Cybersecurity
- Platform Applications
- Enterprise Architecture, Data & AI
- PMO
- Support content development by coordinating inputs and ensuring consistency across teams.
- Help connect work across towers into cohesive leadershiplevel materials.
Communications, Huddles & Town Halls
- Support the development of materials for:
- IT leadership meetings
- IT huddles
- Global IT town halls
- Partner with Enterprise Communications to support global IT communications.
- Help ensure messaging clearly communicates:
- What IT does
- How IT supports the business
- The value IT delivers
Global Coordination
- Support coordination with global IT and business leaders across multiple time zones.
- Assist with organizing inputs from markets and regions to support global alignment.
- Ensure materials reflect global context while maintaining consistency.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 14 plus years of experience in project coordination within large organizations of which 6 10 years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst
- Experience supporting IT leadership, strategy, or enterprise initiatives.
- Strong understanding of IT operations and the business of IT.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited daytoday supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and quality.
- Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role.
- Experience in project management, from conception to delivery.
- An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans.
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Prior experience in consulting or professional services environments is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting a Sr. IT leadership team.
- Exposure to vendor management, procurement partnerships, or VMO initiatives.
- Experience supporting executivelevel presentations or dashboards.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in business administration or a related field.
