Operating in a field-based, blue-collar environment supported by a growing back-office, the company is investing heavily in in-house automation, workflow optimization, and AI-enabled solutions to drive long-term growth. Over the next several years, the focus is on scaling efficiently, improving operational leverage, and preparing for a future private equity transaction.
The Opportunity
This newly created role offers high visibility and impact. The Business Transformation Manager will lead initiatives that optimize workflows, implement automation and AI solutions, and improve operational efficiency. Success in this role means delivering measurable improvements in productivity, capacity, and cost structure while helping the company scale without proportional headcount growth. Candidates who thrive in ambiguity, enjoy solving complex problems, and want to see their work directly impact margins and valuation will excel.
Location & Work Model
On-site presence is important, especially early, to understand workflows and build relationships. Some flexibility may be possible over time depending on results and business needs. Candidates within reasonable travel distance or open to regular on-site work are preferred.
Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and redesign workflows across departments to eliminate inefficiencies and unlock capacity

Lead automation and AI initiatives, ensuring pilots convert to sustained results

Track productivity metrics, labor efficiency, and automation ROI to inform leadership decisions

Recommend organizational design changes and role reallocations based on capacity gains

Drive adoption of new processes and tools through cross-functional change leadership
Qualifications
-
Experience in operations, workflow optimization, process improvement, or business transformation

Comfortable in mid-market, hands-on environments with field operations and back-office teams

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and execution-oriented skills

Experience with automation, AI-enabled workflows, or low-code tools is a plus

Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or PE-backed transformation experience is desirable
