Pay Range - $70 - $80/hr

Position Overview

Our client is hiring Cyber Watch Officers to support operations onsite at Fort Meade. This role requires hands-on cybersecurity monitoring and operational response experience in a NOC/SOC environment.

Must-Have Qualifications

Active Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI eligible; C/I Poly eligible)
IAT Level II or III Certification (Security+ CE most common, others accepted)
Hands-on Cyber Security Analyst experience
Monitoring SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight, Wireshark, etc.)
Reviewing alerts from IDS/IPS and firewalls
Incident response & troubleshooting
NOC and/or SOC background preferred

Accepted IAT Level II Certifications include:

• Security+ CE
• Network+ CE
• CySA+
• CND
• CISSP
• CASP+ CE

Primary Responsibilities

• Continuous network monitoring & incident resolution
• Triage security events and develop AO-specific trends
• Analyze threats and adversary TTPs
• Support intelligence and cross-functional operational forums
• Track prioritized incidents & recommend reporting actions
• Improve vulnerability scoring and mitigation processes
• Provide situational awareness of operational environment

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to maintain DoD TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree + 4+ years related experience (or equivalent based on LCAT level)
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Network & application protocols
  • Cyber vulnerabilities & exploitation techniques
  • Threat actor methodologies
