Principal Cloud Security Architect
Our client is seeking a senior-level Cloud Security Architect to lead the design and evolution of a secure, scalable cloud security strategy across an enterprise environment. This role offers the opportunity to influence large-scale cloud transformation efforts while balancing strategic architecture ownership with hands-on technical leadership. You ll play a key role in shaping cloud and identity security standards, guiding modernization initiatives, and mentoring security team members.

Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid 4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $200,000 $235,000 base salary plus bonus eligibility

What You ll Do
Define and lead enterprise cloud security architecture, including standards, frameworks, and best practices
Partner with architecture, DevOps, and security operations teams to ensure secure design and deployment across hybrid and cloud environments
Drive identity and access management architecture, supporting roadmap development and implementation efforts
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to enhance threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response capabilities
Provide mentorship and technical leadership to security team members, fostering continuous improvement and security excellence
What Gets You the Job
15+ years of experience in information security, including 5+ years in cloud security architecture roles
Deep expertise with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including support of cloud migrations or hybrid environments
Hands-on experience implementing security controls, automation, scripting, or technical problem-solving solutions
Strong background in identity management, threat monitoring, and vulnerability management within large enterprise environments
Excellent communication skills with a collaborative leadership style and ability to mentor and influence others
