Summary

Position: Quality Engineer (Contract)


Location: Devens, MA (Onsite)


Pay: $40/hour


Duration: 12 Months (Potential Extension)


Schedule: 1st Shift | 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support manufacturing quality, root cause investigations, and regulatory compliance in a dynamic production environment. This role focuses on process improvement, troubleshooting, and quality system optimization within an assembly and cleanroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Apply quality engineering principles and tools to improve manufacturing processes and systems.

  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and regulatory standards.

  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.

  • Investigate and resolve production quality issues and nonconformances.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Manage and analyze external customer complaints (non-client facing).

  • Utilize risk assessment tools to identify and mitigate quality risks.

  • Maintain accurate documentation within ERP systems (Epicor, ETQ preferred).


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.

  • 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong background in root cause analysis, investigations, and problem-solving.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.

  • Experience in assembly or cleanroom environments preferred.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor, ETQ a plus).

  • Lean Six Sigma or Quality Engineering certification preferred.

  • Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
