Position: SAP ABAP Senior Developer Techno/Functional (Contract) Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid 3 days onsite per week) Work Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM PST (40 hours/week) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced SAP ABAP Senior Developer (Techno/Functional) with a strong background in SAP upgrades, especially SAP S/4HANA on cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in ABAP development, deep understanding of SAP technologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with business and functional teams. Key Responsibilities: - ABAP Development Expertise:
Design, develop, and enhance ABAP solutions based on complex functional requirements. - Advanced Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues for users, partners, and internal teams. - Technical Documentation:
Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation. - Backlog & Delivery Management:
Prioritize and manage development backlog aligned with business goals. - Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with business users, SAP functional consultants, and developers to ensure seamless delivery. - Best Practices & Standards:
Ensure adherence to SAP standards, best practices, and organizational IT guidelines. - Testing & Quality Assurance:
Lead development and execution of test plans; ensure deliverables meet acceptance criteria. - Innovation & Optimization:
Drive continuous improvement, automation, and adoption of new SAP features and technologies.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
- 10+ years of SAP development experience
- Strong experience across multiple SAP modules
- Hands-on expertise in:
- ABAP Workbench
- ABAP OO (Object-Oriented Programming)
- CDS Views
- SAP transport systems
- Solid understanding of SAP development lifecycle and standards
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA (especially cloud environments)
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in high-tech or semiconductor industry (highly preferred)
- Strong ability to translate complex functional requirements into technical solutions
- Proven leadership in handling complex SAP development projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- SAP certifications in development (preferred)
- Willingness to travel as required
