IT Support SpecialistOverviewA growing organization is seeking an
IT Support Specialist to provide onsite support across multiple regional locations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on IT professional responsible for troubleshooting end-user issues, supporting infrastructure initiatives, managing IT assets, and ensuring a high level of customer service. This role requires daily onsite presence and occasional travel between local facilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnd User & Desktop Support- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for desktop and workplace technology issues.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware including:
- Desktop and laptop computers
- Monitors
- Keyboards and mice
- Barcode scanners and handheld devices
- Printers and multifunction devices
- Mobile devices and tablets
- Install, configure, upgrade, and support hardware and software.
- Perform data backup and restoration activities as needed.
- Assist users with technical issues while maintaining a high level of customer service.
IT Service Delivery- Support IT operations for multiple sites and maintain service quality standards.
- Manage IT assets, including procurement, configuration, deployment, maintenance, and inventory tracking.
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and user account administration.
- Participate in infrastructure projects, system upgrades, and technology rollouts.
- Document procedures, knowledge articles, support guides, and technical solutions.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT standards, security policies, and best practices.
Infrastructure Support- Provide basic troubleshooting for network connectivity issues and escalate when necessary.
- Assist with setup and configuration of wired and wireless network equipment.
- Support server administration activities including updates, patching, and maintenance.
- Maintain network and system documentation.
- Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure components.
Communication & Training- Communicate technical updates, projects, and planned changes to end users.
- Provide end-user education and support for new technologies and processes.
- Partner with local teams to improve customer satisfaction and support effectiveness.
Required Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in desktop support, technical support, or IT service delivery.
- Strong experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Experience supporting desktop operating systems in an enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of user account administration and directory services.
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking and basic network troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting servers and virtualized environments is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting multiple locations or distributed environments.
- IT service management knowledge or certifications.
- Infrastructure project experience.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity best practices.
- Industry certifications related to desktop support, networking, systems administration, or service management.

Work Environment: Fully onsite with local travel between supported locations as needed. Mileage reimbursement available for approved travel between sites.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
