Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Cypress automation and Salesforce Service Cloud testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual and automated testing, Salesforce Lightning UI, Salesforce configurations and customizations, API/integration testing, data validation, and end-to-end business process testing.
The candidate will work closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment to design and execute comprehensive test strategies, automate critical business scenarios, validate Salesforce releases, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze user stories, acceptance criteria, requirements, and Figma/UI designs to create effective test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform end-to-end manual testing for new features, enhancements, integrations, and Salesforce customizations.
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute Cypress automation scripts and frameworks.
- Test Salesforce Service Cloud configurations and customizations, including:
- Salesforce Lightning UI
- Standard and custom objects
- Record pages
- Flows and workflows
- Validation rules
- Business processes
- Validate the Salesforce data model, object relationships, field mappings, data integrity, and end-to-end data movement.
- Validate Salesforce security and access behavior across profiles, permission sets, roles, and sharing configurations.
- Test UI behavior, business workflows, integrations, REST APIs, and backend functionality across Salesforce and connected systems.
- Develop automated regression coverage for critical Salesforce and cross-system business scenarios using Cypress.
- Review automation code and participate in pull request/code reviews.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects through resolution using standard defect management tools.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and other QA engineers during Agile/Scrum sprint cycles.
- Execute smoke, functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, system, and release validation testing.
- Prepare testing evidence, execution reports, screenshots, and validation results for business and stakeholder approval.
- Plan and execute regression testing for Salesforce seasonal releases, org configuration changes, customizations, integrations, and deployments.
- Support deployment activities, release validation, and post-production verification.
- Continuously improve automation frameworks, test coverage, QA processes, and overall testing efficiency.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cypress and automated UI testing.
- Strong experience testing Salesforce Service Cloud.
- Experience testing Salesforce Lightning / Lightning UI / LWC.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce:
- Standard and custom objects
- Object relationships
- Record pages
- Flows/workflows
- Validation rules
- Profiles and permission sets
- Roles and sharing rules
- Data model and data integrity
- Experience with API testing, particularly REST APIs.
- Experience testing integrations between Salesforce and external/connected systems.
- Strong understanding of manual, functional, integration, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience creating detailed test scenarios, test cases, test data, and execution evidence.
- Experience with Git and pull request/code review processes.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong defect tracking, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience automating Salesforce Lightning applications using Cypress.
- Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
- Experience validating Salesforce deployments and seasonal releases.
- Familiarity with Salesforce deployment/configuration processes.
- Experience testing microservices and cross-system integrations.
- Familiarity with Figma and translating UI designs into test scenarios.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

The ideal candidate is a Senior QA Automation Engineer who combines strong Cypress automation skills with hands-on Salesforce Service Cloud QA experience. Candidates should be comfortable testing both Salesforce configurations and end-to-end business workflows, including UI, APIs, integrations, data, security, and backend functionality.
